Why do you need certification?

Why do some GMP+ certified companies also require or ask their suppliers to be certified? Why and why do they need it? The answer to these questions is very simple, the main principle of GMP+ FSA certification is a chain approach, that is, each link in the chain is responsible for the safety of feed. Therefore, you need to buy a product or service from also certified suppliers. Naturally, there are requirements that must be observed to avoid various situations and risks, which is what guarantees quality and safety.

Feed manufacturers and downstream links in the chain (whether trader or service provider) must also provide guarantees for feed safety. First of all, GMP+ FSA is aimed specifically at the quality and safety of products, so that the consumer does not suffer, complying with the requirements and their strict implementation, creates an irreplaceable high-quality product as a result of which creates a need for it. Through the system of ensuring the safety of feed, the guarantee of the quality of both feeds there and their consumption by animals and the quality of the final product is increased.

The request or requirement to undergo certification is explained quite simply. Take, for example, an average feed mill that has, say, 40 suppliers, therefore, the quality department must go to each plant, check it, this is one day for each, and then write a report on compliance, this is about 2 more days for each supplier, for a total of about 120 days, only for verification, and this despite the fact that there is still daily work that either accumulates or is missed, in order to avoid this, suppliers will be forgiven to undergo certification. But naturally, not everyone is sure that he needs it.
The introduction of a quality safety system for feed and feed additives makes it possible to fully improve such aspects of business reputation as image and significance. And also the feed safety system itself is an integral part of business reputation and directly affects the increase in the market value of the enterprise, which accompanies its development as a whole. Certification is a very effective way to systematize the activities of an enterprise through documentation, control, analysis and periodic revision of key production and management processes in accordance with international standards, ensures transparency, better manageability and continuous improvement of the enterprise. Any enterprise will not be able to survive in global competition if it does not try to meet the standards set by industry leaders,

But not only that. It is not difficult to understand and guess what significance and weight a company gains when not only one company is certified, but all of its suppliers. It is this chain that creates a great guarantor of trust, quality and safety, which naturally gives and opens up new opportunities and branches of the company’s implementation, not only for itself but for all its suppliers in general. Entering new markets, weight and significance in the market, new ways of selling goods. All these advantages speak about the benefits of certification and give a logical answer to why certified companies ask suppliers to undergo certification as well.
